Recently found this article from the HBR about Building Your Board. I too believe that you are who you surround yourself with, but I’ve always accepted this in the unconscious. It’s a neat take on surrounding yourself with those not only to learn from, but to demand feedback from. Just as a company assigns a board to help determine direction, strategy, and required changes, the same can be incorporated into your personal life.
